Bullet Journal Setup for 2021
Bujo By Grace has created an inspiring bullet journal set up for 2021. Learn how to create a key, yearly layout, title page and goal layout. This year is an opportunity to achieve, believe and succeed. Let’s get going.
This setup is perfect if you have not yet started your bullet journal for 2021 or if you are in the process of creating one.
Re-creating This Theme
This setup’s theme is floral blues with a touch of black. It is very easy to re-create especially if you only have a small selection of pens. Although this video uses blues and blacks, you can use any colours you have to hand. I would recommend a light felt pen and a black ink pen but whatever you have in mind will be fine.
Once all of your equipment is ready make sure to watch this video a few times. You can also slow it down by clicking on the setting’s button and then picking a playback speed.
Create a Key
First you will be shown how to create a simple key which is essential to your bullet journals success. Our blog How To Start A Bullet Journal tells you in more detail, the important elements of a key and why they are so important.
What is a Future Log?
A future log is where you keep track of things that are happening in the future or tasks that you need to complete but not until a particular month.
Create a Future Log
Grace will show you how to create a future log in the video below but here are some other handy tips:
- Count the number of lines on your page and divide by three.
- With a ruler draw a line across the spread.
- Title each box with a month.
- Add the future log page numbers to your index.
Create a Title Page
Next up is a title page and a place to log your goals. You could play around with this and make it your own. One easy way to personalise your title page would be with a unique quote that means something to you.
You could re-create this design in your daily, weekly logs, brain dumps and any other lists you would like to have within your Bullet Journal. Now it is time for you to click play and get creating!

- Make sure to look at pages like Grace’s for drawing or writing tips.
- Keep the contents simple. Don’t go over the top with tasks. Keep them as simple as possible so that your page looks clean and tidy.
